Net11 Survey Results

This is the results I have from the net11  survey. Unfortunately the web site  http://FreeOnlineSurveys.com is not free. Its a scam. They get you to set up the survey and when allow 50 participants over 10 days. I logged on at day 11 and to be told I need to pay then too get my data.  WHAT A SCAM.    I sent them an email about my view of there service.

Hi David
I am very disappointed that you have scammed me into creating an online survey only to find at day 11 I can not retrieve my data unless I subscribe to your paid subscription.
Let me point out to you what the word FREE means:
1 allowed to move as one pleases; not shut in. 2 not tied or fastened. 3 allowed to do as one pleases; not restricted, controlled or enslaved. 4 said of a country: independent. 5 costing nothing. 6 open or available to all
Your policy of Free Survey do not come under the definition of free:
Let me also advice you that your web site is not operating within the consumer laws of the UK and if I choose I could have your site removed.
http://www.consumerdirect.gov.uk/watch_out/scams/
http://www.oft.gov.uk/advice_and_resources/small_businesses/advertising/
But I think you should review your business model and allow creators of FREE online surveys to access their DATA FOR FREE.
I accept that their are limitation you need to enforce for FREE services such as time  limits and number of participants but to hold someone's data to ransom after offering to collect it for Free is not only illegal but very unprofessional.
At least give them say 28 Days to collect the data and spell it out clearly to the user.
Regards
Chris'o

Back to the survey

I did however manage to capture some data a couple of days before the survey ended and basically I got the results of 14 form the 17 participants. SO the Data represent only 14 people surveyed but very little changed as the percentages from 14 to 17 so I can assure you that the results are a fair indication to the feelings within the net11 group

Close result here as 42% had a go at this. With new technologies like forums and social networks there seem to be little point to it.

Varied result show that users have a varied prefaces to what chat client to use. This I assume would  create some difficulties in finding and staying in tough with Internet contacts. Although one answered Adium that is multi protocol to consolidate their contacts .

Moving  onto the chat world and creating our own identity is obviously the new culture that most have become adapted to.

Did Peter do the Survey twice?

For Cynthia and Tess your fantasies are real in 85.7 % of those surveyed. The traditional book lives on and Kindle has a small market still.  This would be an interesting public market survey where 1000s of samples would show the real answer to what the market for e-books where.

Please comment on the results and keep the debate alive.

  1. Some interesting results there Chris. Shame about the dodgy service. May I suggest Survey Monkey for future surveys? I have always found it to be a pretty good site and it clearly states the pricing structure on it's pricing page. BTW I don't see anything in your pipes widget below. should I? is it because I use firefox? or is it a silverlight thing?
